The best way to predict the future is to create it.

Our Future - It takes a village!

El Pueblo de Abiquiú Library & Cultural Center began with an idea to support our community. We will continue to provide access to our collections, resources and services to help meet the educational, informational, educational, technological, historical and cultural needs of our far reaching and rural community. Currently we have two part time librarians on staff as the only paid employees. We rely on the hearts and time of volunteers (including the Board) to keep the library going. We also rely on the financial support of grants, friends and partners - you make a difference and we couldn’t continue without you. The Library is the heart of our community and we look forward to continuing to provide educational, social, historical and cultural activities, programs and events for everyone well into the future.

Our Library is small, but mighty and today’s world, libraries are changing. Libraries have had to reinvent themselves and have been for over a decade. Libraries are now changing focus to become full-service community spaces and centers that work to meet the needs of a variety of needs. Technology is the reason and it is at the helm of a library’s future. We look forward to our future growth and the possibilities. We welcome your input, voices and involvement.
